TEMPORARY BRIDGES
Project: Lyttleton Port Coal Yard Bridge.
Following the 2011 February earthquake, and due to a large influx of demolition rubble being delivered to the port, there was a necessity for storage to be expanded into the quarry. This required a bridge over the coal conveyor that could withstand large loads from off road dump trucks. Lyttleton Port Company approached Formfour to construct this bridge, consisting of anchor block abutments and an heavy duty precast concrete deck.
