NEW BRIDGES.

Project: Akaroa Boat Ramp Bridges
These bridges were replacements for the existing timber bridges. Our scope of works included supply of driven steel piles, construction of concrete abutments using marine grade concrete, supply and installation of precast deck units, and in-situ tie ins. The job was staged to allow access to the car park at all times. In addition tidal considerations presented another challenge.
PROJECT: WAIREWA STREAM TIMBER BRIDGE.
Originally a culvert design, we put forward a cost saving option to build a timber bridge, which was accepted and implemented by the Christchurch City Council. This bridge forms part of the Little River cycle way. It was constructed using driven wooden piles, timber structure and balustrading. It forms an important part of the cycleway, as the bridge is position adjacent to the main highway.
Project: Hogsback Bridge, Mt Cheeseman
This project incorporated steel pile construction with precast abutments, supply and installation of Stahlton TT (Double Tee) units, and construction of wooden kerbs and handrailing. This was an environmentally sensitive project under the purview of the Department of Conservation.
